This is a video on how to add custom fields in Project Insight. From here, you get to tell Project Insight where this custom field should go. Most of the time, people choose to make project-level custom fields. Then, you'll have a blank section here. I've been doing this for a while, so I've got quite a few.
You can add fields here with this button. From there, you'll give your field a name, and you'll choose what kind of field this should be. It can be a text box or something that's already native to Project Insight, like a company out of the company selectors—anything you might want. The most common choice is going to be a combo box or a drop-down box.
After that, you can make your choices regarding the options, or you can select a text area, as you saw earlier. Alright, so with that in mind, the other choices you might care about are whether they are required. Be careful what you wish for! Additionally, showing it as a report filter means that it will show up in the project filtering options to say, “only show me projects that are this type of custom field answer.”
Once you've made your selections, you hit save, and there you'll have your custom field.
