How to Start Over on an Approval

This quick button lets you restart an Approval Process back to the very first step.

This video will show you how to restart an approval that is already pending or not in progress. This can be for any reason, and you can do this by going to the approval display page. In this example, the approval was requested by Dylan, and I have Bill Henry and Joe as approvers so far. Henry has made his approval; you can see he has made his update in his comment.

I can come in here and click on the "Start Over" button, which will clear out the past verbal comments and approval updates of anyone who has made action on this approval. It will basically start it back over to the very first step. I click on "Start Over," and then you can see it has been restarted. Hit "OK," and now it's gone back to before those comments; they are no longer there on the approval, and it will act as though you had just started the approval in the first place.
