Where you can find help descriptions for fields in Project Insight. Watch how you can hover over the field or column header or hit "Show Tooltips" on the Display Options in Filters.
Transcript:
Hello, this video is to help you learn where to find tooltips in Project Insight and some of the more hidden ways to access them.
One of the great ways to find a tooltip is to simply hover over a table column. For example, in the task list, if I hover over something like "Work Status," I will see a tooltip above "Work Status" that describes what it is about. The same applies to "Work Hours" or "Duration." In any case, you can find tooltips in tables like that.
Another place to find tooltips is by going to the filter options. You'll need to click on "More Filters." This will teach you a little bit about how the page filters work. If you're not sure how to select these columns and want more information, you can select items that you're uncertain about, such as "Actual Duration," "End Date," or "Work Status." After that, click the link to show tooltips for the selected columns. It will provide you with explanations for those particular columns that you'd like to see in your task list. You can either click "OK" or "Cancel" to exit and make those changes, or choose something else like "Actual Rate," which will give you the definition of "Actual Rate."
So those are some of the ways to see tooltips, not just in table headers but also in the actual display options that you access through filters, specifically "More Filters" and then the column selectors. If you want to learn more about display options, just go ahead and watch the video about using that right here on YouTube.
Thanks!
