In this video, I will show you how to make a task show up on the appointment calendar. If you need to schedule an appointment for your technicians to go out in the field or perform any other tasks, you can add a column called "Appointment" to the column selections of your task list. Simply mark the checkbox, and that will make the task appear on the appointment calendar.
The other method is if you're editing the task in full mode; there is an "Is Appointment" flag available as well. So, there are two ways to convert a task into an appointment when you are not on the actual appointment calendar. When planning your projects from the task list, you can use the appointment calendar to check off which tasks are actually going to become appointments, especially for field service or other tasks that require scheduling.
You can also create a task directly on the appointment calendar, and that will automatically designate it as an appointment. However, if you are engaged in extensive planning with a template or a significant number of tasks that will become appointments, the appointment calendar is particularly useful. It allows you to perform comprehensive project planning for your entire workflow and selectively choose which tasks should appear as appointments on the appointment calendar.
