Deleting and Managing Saved Reports

Saved reports help teams reuse, share, and manage common reporting views in Project Insight. Over time, you may need to delete a report you no longer use, hide a report someone shared with you, delete a shared report for all users, or take ownership of a report that needs a new owner.

TIP: Before sharing a report with anyone, you should be a good report citizen and make sure that person really wants the report. 

How Do I Delete a Saved Report?

Deleting a report you saved is really easy. 

1. Go to the reports menu
2. Click the 3 dots on the report card for the report you'd like to delete
3. Select the "Delete" option

How Do I Hide a Report Shared With Me?

Sometimes you want to hide a report that someone shared with you. This does not delete the report, but it hides it from your view. 

1. Go to the reports menu
2. Open the Shared section
3. Click the 3 dots on the report card for the shared report that you'd like to hide
4. Select the "Hide" option

How Do I Delete a Report Shared With Me?

Sometimes you want to delete a report that someone shared with you. This will completely delete the report from all users' logins. 

1. Go to the reports menu
2. Open the Shared section
3. Click the 3 dots on the report card for the shared report that you'd like to hide
4. Select the "Delete" option

How Do I Take Ownership of a Shared Report?

Sometimes you may want to take ownership of a report.  For example, if the user that originally shared the report is no longer with your company and you want to manage the report now. This is how you'd do it.

1. Go to the reports menu
2. Open the Shared section
3. Click the 3 dots on the report card for the shared report that you'd like to hide
4. Select the "Take Ownership" option

Frequently Asked Questions

Does hiding a shared report delete it?

No. Hiding a shared report only removes it from your view. It does not delete the report for other users.
