Project Insight provides several export options that allow you to save report data outside the system for analysis, sharing, presentations, or printing. Reports can be exported to formatted Excel files, unformatted Excel files, CSV files, or printer-friendly views.
What Report Export Options Are Available?
Project Insight supports the following export options:
- Export to Excel Formatted
- Export to Excel Unformatted
- Export to CSV
- Print Friendly
How Do I Export a Report?
- Open the report you want to export.
- Click the small arrow in the upper-right corner of the report near the Help icon.
- Select one of the available export options.

How Do I Export a Formatted Excel Report?
Export to Excel Formatted is the most commonly used export option.
- Click Export to Excel Formatted.
- Wait for Project Insight to generate the Excel file.
- Open the generated workbook.
The report will be exported to Microsoft Excel with formatting applied.

When Should I Use Excel Unformatted or CSV?
Excel Unformatted and CSV exports are useful when the report data will be used for additional analysis, data manipulation, integrations, or import into other applications.
How Do I Print a Report?
Reports can also be printed directly from Project Insight.
- Click the Printer icon located next to the export options.
- Select Print Friendly.
- Use the print dialog to print or save the report.
