If an existing user has a user profile that you would like to copy for the new user, use the "Clone" feature shown in this video.
Transcript:
This video is to show you how to copy a user in Project Insight. One of the reasons why you might want to copy a user is if you know that there are certain system permissions that this user has, and you're looking to add an additional user. The terminology that we use for this is going to be "copy" and/or "clone."
Here, under these three dots, if you go over to those three dots, you will see that it says "clone." In order to have access to making these changes in your workspace, you will need to have user admin permissions. If you're a system admin, you will know because you will have access to the admin screen.
However, if we go back over here to the resources dropdown and select "clone," selecting "clone" is going to bring over the information that we have under Mr. Elia. It will not bring in his name, last name, email, or username. However, it will copy over the company. It will also copy over the system roles that Elia had, as well as any preferences or resource information, such as burden rate and bill rate.
The reason for this is because when you're creating a new user, you need this information to be unique to the new user. Therefore, you'll need to put in a first name, last name, email address, and username.
After you fill in the information to create this new unique user, what you would do is go down here and select "save." That's going to go ahead and copy over all this information into that new user.
