This article refers to either Project Insight #Enterprise or those workspaces choosing to enable the Project Roles add-on.
PMO User
- This is an option in the User's Profile in the User System Roles
- Checking this box allows this user to edit any project in the workspace as though they were the project's project manager
Project Sponsor
- A reportable field about who has a stake in this project
- Set your list of Project Sponsors in the Resource Info of each user’s profile
Primary Project Manager
- Meant to be the “Project Owner” or the one person who owns the work
- Set the Primary Project Manager with the checkbox in the Project Resources page
Project Manager
- A project can have multiple Project Managers
- All Project Managers have the ability to make changes to the schedule, resources, and budget

Project Scheduler
- A project can have multiple Project Schedulers
- All project schedulers have the ability to make changes to the schedule and resources, but not see the budget

Task Owner
- By default, there is no difference between a Task Owner and a Task Resource
- Many teams have asked to designate who is this responsible for this task
- You set the Task Owner either by whomever you added to the task first or changing the owner in the Edit Task Details page
Task Resource
- Anyone assigned to do the work on this task
