Build a schedule in the task list by adding tasks, summary tasks and predecessors. If you already assigned resources to your project, you may optionally decide to assign some resources to tasks as well.
Inline editing is the fastest way to build a schedule. Use the Page Display Options icon in the upper-right of the task list to display the data fields you'll use as columns in your task list.
Most schedules will contain a work breakdown structure (WBS) which contain more than a flat task list.
Summary Tasks, Task Dependencies, Adding Predecessors and Constraints are imperative to organizing work assignments and leveraging intelligent scheduling.
