Gantt charts are visual representations of tasks, time lines and task relationships based on information that's been entered into the system for a project as progress on the project occurs.
Chart Graphics
Summary Tasks: when your Summary Tasks are collapsed, the black bracket shows as an "umbrella"
Tasks with Actual Time: task bars with a black bar indicates the Actual hrs entered
Predecessor Relationships: task dependencies like a predecessor relationship appear with arrows to connect tasks...
Milestones: to indicate a milestone on the Chart, check the Milestone checkbox on the edit screen of a task
Today's Date: the current day appears as a green vertical line on the chart
Deadline Date: under Task edit > Advanced tab > enter a date in the Deadline Date field
Display Options
Your handy-dandy Display Options that appears on just about every page in PI. Only the Gantt Chart has a small addition.
- Scale: choose for Quarter-day, Half-day, Day, Week, Month, Quarter
- Show Critical Tasks In Red:
- Show baseline as a separate row: the baseline will appear as a gray bar under the task as a snapshot
