Purpose
Allow multiple project requests to be connected to a single project so related work can be managed together.
When To Use It
Use this when:
Several requests should be handled within one project
A team wants to organize requests by portfolio or program without creating a report
A request was attached to the wrong project and needs to be removed
Steps
Enable The Feature
Go to Add-ons.
Select Project Requests.
Enable the option: Enable multiple requests to connect to a single project.
Save changes.
Attach A Request To An Existing Project
Open a project request.
Select Connect to existing project.
Choose the project.
Save.
You can repeat these steps to connect additional requests to the same project.
View Requests On The Project
Open the project.
Navigate to the Project Requests section.
View all connected requests listed there.
Remove A Request From A Project
Open the request.
Edit the project connection.
Remove the project assignment entirely.
Save.
This detaches the request from the project. It does not automatically reopen a previously closed request.
View Requests By Portfolio Or Program
Go to Portfolios or Programs.
Select Project Requests from the submenu.
View all requests associated with that portfolio or program.
This includes:
Requests assigned directly to the portfolio
Requests attached to projects within the portfolio
Filters currently include Open and Closed.
Best Practices
Use one project when multiple requests represent related work.
Organize requests by portfolio instead of creating a report when visibility is the main goal.
Remove incorrect connections instead of deleting requests.
Group project request reports by Project for better visibility.
