Purpose
The Home screen is your starting point in Project Insight. It gives every user one-click access to projects, portfolios, reports, and personal work items. Consistent navigation helps everyone—from team members to executives—reach what they need quickly while keeping a complete picture of org-wide work in view.
How to
Access the Home screen:
After logging in, PI opens to the Home screen by default.
You can return anytime by clicking the Home icon in the upper-left corner.
Understand your tiles:
Each tile (for example, Projects, Programs, Portfolios, Reports, or Resources) opens that section’s workspace.
Tiles may vary by role—admins see more options than standard users.
Customize your layout:
Drag and drop tiles to reorder them; PI remembers your layout automatically.
Resize tiles using the expand icon in the corner.
Hide tiles you rarely use with the Edit Layout option.
Navigate within a section:
Use the breadcrumb path at the top of any page to return to its parent level.
Every list or dashboard includes a Filter icon (top right) and a Layout gear for adjusting and saving your view.
Return to Home:
Click the Project Insight logo or Home icon anytime to return to your personalized dashboard.
Best practices
Keep frequently used modules like Projects, Reports, and My Work near the top of your Home screen.
Encourage team members to set up their own tile order for faster daily navigation.
If you can’t see a specific tile or module, confirm your role permissions with an administrator.
Use Reports and Portfolios tiles for organization-wide visibility; use My Work to focus on personal assignments.
