System Wide Auto-Alerts
Within Project Insight's Add-Ons Administrators can set global alerts for all events using the Notification Configuration Add-On. As with any system sending auto-alerts, be careful what you wish for.
Administrators use this same section to set system wide auto-alerts for all users.
The most common usage for auto-alerts is an overdue notification or assignment notification. Users can choose to add more auto-alerts at their discretion.

Item Types for Auto-Alerts
The alerts can be set at any level - on any item.
Not all items support all alerts. For examples:

Choosing Who to Notify
When selecting who you want to receive the alert, you have several choices. The choices and their definitions are as follows:
- User
- Role
- Notify a user based on their role for the item
- Group
- Company
- Email Address
- Notify a user that is not licensed in your site
Each choice is not necessarily available for each alert type.
Choosing What to Notify the Alert Recipient About
Each type of alert allows for specific notifications - these are called Events.
The following alerts are available:
Notifications apply to the item you set and the item's children.
Permission Rules
- System administrators can add, edit and delete alerts at the global level
- Issue managers can add, edit and delete alerts created on any issue
- Issue managers can set alert notifications for other users on any issue
- Project managers can set alert notifications for other users only for their projects
- Team Member users can only set alerts for themselves
