BUT THEN, anyone can add sub-folders from the Folder view.

Add a new folder by using the Add icon  or Add button .

Name your folder

Master Folder Ignore this, but you can read about this feature in the Master Folders article

Default Quick View You can set which Quick Selection folder view this folder uses by default

Navigation:

Display in Navigation See this folder in left navigation

Automatically Set Display in Navigation On for new Child Folders & Items Future folders automatically shown in left navigation - Don't select this option please

Items Allowed

Allow or limit items to be added to a folder.

Using rules help to reduce your users' potential confusion about where to add content.

Inherit the add... can be unchecked to set exceptions for child items of any item anywhere in the hierarchy

Item Type lists items which may be allowed in this folder

Reset all children to inherit... will force the inherit rule on all child items from this parent. New child items are automatically set to inherit without this setting. This checkbox resets the current children items

Advanced Display

How do you want the items within this folder to display?

Tree will display the contents of the folder with expand and collapse options to the left of any item in the list which contains at least one child item. This is the default

List will display a list of the contents without allowing the expand and collapse options

List with Page Spanning A list view where large quantities of child items to show only a specific number of items at a time

First Letter Of Name Search displays the letters you see in the bar below

Text Search displays the search bar below
