The Time Entry admin page allows the user to make administrative changes and initial set up to how time is entered throughout the system. Some new highlights are the options to add time to Issues and To-Dos as well as the ability to enable time entries on work items that you are not assigned to.
The Time Entry Grid is also enabled on this page, or you can set the Time Entry Grid Default Settings at the link below that checkbox.
Access the Time Entry Settings through Administration > Add-Ons > Time Tracking & Time Sheets
Professional Services & Billable Entries
Set Default Burden and Bill Rate Sets the default burden and bill rates
Enables The Billable Flag Checked by Default When Entering Time For a Company sets the billable flag as selected by default when. entering time by Company.
Enables Users The Ability to Toggle The Billable Flag When Entering Time For a Company enables a resource to chose if the time is billable.
Enables the task to capture time Enables tasks to capture time
Enables The Billable Flag Checked by Default When Entering Time For a Project or Task will default the billable flag checked on the project and task level
Enables Users The Ability to Toggle The Billable Flag When Entering Time For a Project or Task will follow the billable checkbox rules for the project and task level
My Allocation on Time Entry Grid Settings
Enable My Allocation Column on Time Entry Grid Turns on the allocation column for the Time Entry Grid, which will display the users allocation on the task or project
Enable My Allocation Column on Time Entry Grid with Editing Turns on the allocation column for the Time Entry Grid, with editing, which will display the users allocation on the task or project
Time Entry Formatting and Rounding
Time Entries are input Decimal by default.
Time Entries with HH:mm will always show seconds, you can set up the round rule as well.
NOTE: if you want to set a your entries for rounding, make sure to clarify that i nthe "Time Entry by Hours Rond Rule" drop down AND the "Time Entry by HH:mm Round Rule."
Time Entries Allowed
Time Entries By Company sets the configuration to allow time entries at the company level without a project or task selected.
Time Entries By Project sets the configuration to allow time entries on projects without the requirement to attach the time entry to a specific task. Unlike the Time Entries by Company, this option cannot be further configured for more specific rules within Project Insight. Exceptions to the time entries by project rule cannot be made on a project-by-project basis.
Time Entries on Issues enables time entries for issues in PREVIEW MODE
Time Entries on To-Dos enables time entries for To-Dos in PREVIEW MODE
Time Entries on Any Work Item without being Assigned Enables time entries on any work item regardless of assignee.
Other Settings
Enable User Specific Timesheet Periods Allows users to have differing Timesheet periods from the default
When Time Entries Are Entered, the Next Entry on the Same Item, the Time Code Will Default to the Last Time Code Entered If enabled, when more than one entry is made on an item the time code will default to the last time code entered.
When Time Entries Are Entered on the Grid, the Custom Field Inputs Will Not Be Cleared If enabled custom fields will not be cleared when time entries are entered on the grid.
When Checked, Holiday and PTO Inputs Will Be Presented on the Time Entry Grid by Default Enables Holiday and PTO inputs on the time entry grid.
Allows the User to Select Custom Dates on the Time Entry Grid Enables custom date inputs on Time Grid.
Allows the User to Select Custom Dates on the Time Entry Worksheet Enables custom date inputs on the time entry worksheet.
Enable Time Sheet Period Navigation on Submit Form Enables the time sheet period navigation on submit form.
Allows the User to Choose Whether or Not the Time Entry Worksheet Refreshes After Each Entry Save or Delete Enables users to choose if the time entry worksheet will refresh when saving or deleting an entry.
Enable Week Selection on Time Entry Grid Enables week selection when utilizing the Time Entry Grid.
Enable Entry Total Hour Limit Enables a limit on time entry total hours.
Lock Entries Prior to Date If a date is entered in this selection time entries before the date will not be able to be edited.
