In the Project Insight for Jira Getting Started Guide, you used the Jira integration wizard and Project Insight Apps & Add Ons section to configure your Default Project Options.
Continued Administration
Revisit the Your Add Ons section of the Administration section to make changes to each Jira work space's configuration.
The Configure button makes global changes for all projects going forward. You can also Uninstall or Disable the add-on from this screen.
Managing Projects
Navigate to the Project Insight project and select the Project Insight for Jira option in the Views menu:
From there, your screen may look different depending on your config settings:
Connecting from Jira
One Jira Project to One Project in PI
By default, you will only sync one Jira project to one Project Insight project. If that is your setting, you may bypass the cute tile you see above and see this screen immediately:
Select the Project and jump down to below to the Project Configuration options.
One Jira Projects to Many Project Insight Projects
If your team only uses one Jira project and you break your work out by Epic in Jira, you can use the second option. Select the tile above to see this syncing screen:
Choose among your Jira projects and narrow down which Epic you'd like to sync. You can skip the next section to jump to the Project Configuration options.
Multiple Jira projects linking across many Project Insight projects
This is the most flexible option where you team can sync individual items across multiple projects in Jira. You can sync Epics, User Stories, Tasks, Subtasks, any level of item in the Jira hierarchy, regardless of which Jira project these items live. To help you narrow your list, the first screen asks you to tell us which projects should we present work items from?
Once you've narrowed it down and hit "Connect", you'll see the Project Configuration options. If you want to change the syncing options for just this project, hop down to the Project Configuration Options section below.
Adding Work Items from Jira
From this page, you can use the "Add Work Item(s)" button to add your list of items from Jira:
From the Task List, you can use the "Add Task from Jira" option in the Add Task menu:
Here you can Add Tasks by Jira Key directly or you can search for the Work Item by Project first and the Jira Work Item second. Hit Add to see it in your Task List.
Project Configuration Options
These options will default to your system-wide configuration choices you made in the "Your Add-Ons" page. If you would like to change these options for just this project, make any changes here:
See a complete explanation of the settings in the "Getting Started" article.
Keep reading the Team Member Guide for individual Task and Issue connection.
