Assigning Date, Number, and Currency Formats in Project Insight
Welcome to Project Insight. In this article, we will guide you through the process of using date, number, and currency formatting to customize settings for individual users. This feature is particularly useful for workspaces with users from multiple countries.
Getting Started
To begin, navigate to the add-ons section in your Project Insight workspace.
Installing the Add-on
Next, locate the date, number, and currency formatting add-on. Click on Configure. If you do not have this add-on installed already, you can obtain it by clicking on Get More Add-ons.
Setting Default Formats
Once you have accessed the add-on, ensure that your workspace's default settings for date, number, and currency formats are correct. For this example, we will set it to the United States formats. Additionally, check the option that allows users to override the workspace default formats.
After making these selections, click Okay to save your changes.
Customizing User Settings
To customize the date and currency formats for a specific user, navigate to the My Insight menu, select Admin, and then click on Users.
Find the user you wish to modify, and click on the More Options icon located on the far right. Select Edit.
Changing User Preferences
In the Preferences tab, you will find options for date, currency, and number formats. Choose the desired format for the user. For instance, you can set it to Korean format for a user named Adam.
Additionally, ensure that you update the user's time zone to their local zone—select Seoul for this example.
Finally, click Save to apply your changes.
Conclusion
And that’s all you need to know to assign date and currency formats to specific users in Project Insight. This customization ensures a more personalized experience for users from different regions within the same workspace.
