Custom Field Input Type: Task Affiliation

Note: In order to use the task affiliation custom field you must have the custom fields addon installed

The Task Affiliation input type on a custom field is used to tie an item to a specific task.

• For example, this can be useful when generating reports as you can sort and filter by the task(s) item(s) are associated with while making your reports.

How to use the Task Affiliation Custom Field

To use the Task Affiliation Field Custom Field you actually need two fields:

• Project Affiliation Custom Field: Acts as the parent field. When a project is selected here, the Task Affiliation Field will only show tasks from that project.
• Task Affiliation Custom Field: Allows users to select a specific task related to the project chosen in the Project Affiliation Field.
