Purpose
Gantt views give teams and leaders visual insight into schedules, dependencies, and milestones at every level—project, program, and portfolio.
Each Gantt updates dynamically as dates or durations change, keeping timelines synchronized across the entire organization.
Project level guidelines
Open a Project and select the Gantt tab.
Review tasks as horizontal bars representing start and end dates.
Hover over a bar to view details such as task owner and % complete.
Drag bars left or right to adjust dates, or drag endpoints to shorten or extend durations.
Right-click a task bar and choose Add Dependency to link related work.
Right-click the date scale to change the zoom level (Days, Weeks, or Months).
Click Save when adjustments are complete.
Portfolio and Program level guidelines
Go to Program Home or Portfolio Home and select the Gantt tab.
Review all active projects within that group; each appears as a bar representing its overall timeline.
Use the Filter icon to include inactive or completed projects.
Hover over project bars to see start/end dates, % complete, and progress bars.
Right-click in the Gantt to change the time scale or show milestone names.
Use Print/Export for executive snapshots or reports.
Best practices
Use Milestone diamonds to highlight major deliverables at a glance.
Expand or collapse task groups for clearer visibility within large schedules.
Switch to Month scale for long-range portfolio or program planning.
Keep portfolios clean by archiving completed projects for faster Gantt loading.
Apply color coding through Status or Health to identify risks quickly.
Remember: changes at the project level automatically update portfolio and program Gantt views—no duplicate edits needed.
