Report Date Ranges

The Date Range options to select date ranges for Project Insight reports restrict the results to match the date filters.

Most reports offer the following options:

All Dates

Chooses records regardless of the dates.

This option is not available for all reports or filters.

Quick Tip: When it is available, use All Dates only with small sets of data. Otherwise your results will be very large, and it may take a long time to generate the report.

Dynamic Dates 

A preset range of dates commonly used, e.g. Current Week, Current Month, Last Month, Next year, etc. Results for this range will change automatically.

Filter type filters the results based on the items' start dates and end dates. "Contains Within" means the item starts AND ends within the dynamic date range.

Specific Dates

These are specific dates where you control the range.

Reports saved with these settings remember these specific date ranges no matter how far into the future we progress. When running the report, the report will always use those exact dates, they will never change.

Quick Tip: Typing the letter "t" will populate today's date.

Rolling Dates

Rolling Dates use a numeric value to set how many days in the past and how many days in the future should the report filter.

You may also select the numeric values to be Weeks, Months, Quarters or Years.
