How to Use the Resource Directory in Project Insight

The Resource Directory in Project Insight gives you a searchable list of the people and resources you are set up to view or communicate with. You can use the Directory to find contact details, review resource information, filter by resource type, and open more detailed resource records.

Where is the Resource Directory in Project Insight?

The Directory is located in the Main Menu menu.

What does the Resource Directory show?

The Resource Directory shows the individuals and resources you have permission to view. This may include team members, project resources, placeholder resources, or other people connected to your workspace setup.

How do I search the Resource Directory?

You can search for individuals by clicking the search icon:

You can also filter the Directory by resource type to narrow the list of resources shown.

How do I view details about a resource?

Click a person’s name to see more details about that specific resource without leaving the Directory.

To open a more detailed view of the person’s information, click the hyperlink on the person’s name.

Can I use an advanced view in the Resource Directory?

Yes. The Resource Directory also includes an advanced view. To open it, click the advanced view icon:

In the advanced view, you can filter resources and adjust the layout as needed.
