User Preferences

Individual users may change their preferences, such as font sizes, email notifications etc. (if the system administrator or user manager has enabled this functionality for your user).

Clicking the Edit Preferences menu option, from within the Profile global menu option (see Navigation & Layout) will bring you to an entry form where you can change the various settings specific to your user.

Hover Options

To enable gives "Legacy" behavior of hovering over headers like "My Insight" to cause the dropdown to appear - when disabled, the behavior will require a click to cause the dropdown to appear.

Time Zones

Shows the current setting of Time Zone you have selected for your PI instance. 

Email Notifications and IM Notifications

This will enable the Auto-notifications set up in your System Wide Auto-Alerts to be sent to your email. 

Banner Size

The size of the Project Insight banner and the size of the global menu option icons that appear on it can be set smaller. This provides more room for the main content sections.

Click in the drop down for the Banner Size and select Condensed to make it smaller.

To set it back to the default size, click the No Selection or Normal (Default) option.

Table Grid Padding

The amount of padding (white space on the top or bottom of the text) in the cells on certain displays can be changed.

• More padding can be added or padding can be reduced
• For example on a touch screen device, the amount of padding may be increased so it is easy to touch items
• Displayed on a regular device then the padding can be reduced
• This option is available on grid style displays such as on a project task list or report type displays

Click in the drop down for the Banner Size and select Condensed to reduce the amount of padding:

Click in the drop down for the Banner Size and select Loose to increase the amount of padding:

To set it back to the default size, click the No Selection or Normal (Default) option.

Icon Size

Icons are used in various places in Project Insight to represent information. The size of these icons in grid style displays can be changed to be smaller or larger than the default.

• Click in the drop down for the Icon Size and select Smaller to make icons smaller.

• Click in the drop down for the Icon Size and select Larger to make icons larger.

• To set it back to the default size, click the No Selection or Normal (Default) option.

Font Size

The font size used throughout Project Insight sets the size of the most common font within the interface and scales the other sizes, both smaller and larger, proportionally.

• Padding between lines will also increase or decrease with the size change
• Click the drop down and select a size to change the font from the default

This is an example of the Largest (16px):

This is an example of the Smallest (11px):

To set it back to the default size, click the No Selection or Normal (13px) - Default option.

Use Email Client

This option will use your default desktop email application program, such as Microsoft Outlook, to send and receive emails for notification. However,

• When working in browser-only interfaces be sure to uncheck this option when you're working away from your usual system
• Automatically send your email from within the Project Insight interface with your return email address

Email Assigned Tasks and Items

To receive an email each day with a list of all the Tasks in the My Insight Tasks list and any Custom Items which are assigned to you, check this option on.

Reset Homepage to Default Location

Sets the homepage back to the default dashboard.

Enable Site Impaired

This option is used to enable functions with third-party applications to navigate the application through audio prompts in addition to the visual interface.
