Task full view: Tabs at bottom don't stay expanded like they used to
In the Task Full View, there are 4 tabs at the bottom. In the old UI, you could expand these sections and the system remembers your preference, which was great! But, it doesn't do that anymore. If you refresh the page or revisit it later, you have to click to expand the section/tab you want every time, which takes extra time and clicks to find important info that didn't used to be buried.
It'd be great to at least restore that functionality to the Task Full View! That way, it's less work to see the important details you want to see every time.
For us here at Coffey, we have tasks with multiple resources frequently and those assigned on the task need to know the progress of the other people also on their task. In the current state, they have to click to expand the Resources tab EVERY TIME to unbury this info that used to show up automatically and not be buried. I've had multiple people ask me why the Resources tab always collapsed now and if I can fix it, so this issue is affecting a lot of people at our organization.
Resources tab: This is the info that my team needs easy access to--everyone uses it to see how everyone assigned to the task is coming along. We really don't want it to be buried under a you-must-always-click-to-see-this barrier.
There's two ways that I can see this functionality restored (you guys might have more/better ideas of course!):
- Option 1) Have it function like last time and remember your previous selection and have a certain section(s) expanded/collapsed all the time.
- Option 2) Provide a global setting toggle to set systemwide which of these 4 tabs on the Task Full View to ALWAYS be expanded or collapsed.
I think I'd prefer the Option 2 route, so we could globally pick which of the 4 (or all 4!) of these tabs to ALWAYS be expanded or ALWAYS be collapsed. Doing it this way would enable great customization of this area, in case other companies want to toggle expand/collapse a different tab(s) other than the Resources tab that Coffey needs.
I hope I made sense in my request! For extra clarity, the recorded Zoom from 9/7/22 has a screenshare explanation by yours truly if that'll help alongside this ticket.
Thanks for reading and helping us out! The feedback and help we get from all you guys at PI is 100!!!!
