'Username' name instead of First Name and Last Name

Can we show resource ‘Username’ under Resource page of a project / under drop-down of a Task, in lieu of User’s First Name and Last Name.

E.g., “Faizan.Huda” instead of Faizanul Huda.

Because there can be a situation where two different persons are in our team with exactly the same first and last name, so while adding resources I will have two same names in the drop-down and won't be able to decide which one to choose. As PI does not restrict using same name while we create a user profile, but does restrict using same ‘Username’, it would be sensible to have 'Username' everywhere, rather than First Name and Last Name.

  Similarly, it would be nice to have the ability to use first names or nicknames when using the @ to communicate with a team member
