Work Completed History for Performance Reporting
How do I measure work accomplished this month compared to work accomplished last month? I only see the total Work Hours accomplished in real time based on the percent complete.

The percent complete on task has one data field used to calculate Accomplished Hours. History for comparison needs to be stored outside of the application, using a data warehouse or an Excel export. Data warehousing with PI data is most commonly used in organizations using a data warehouse for multiple applications.
No worries if you don't have sophisticated (expensive) data warehousing because a spreadsheet can help with the same data capture providing similar effectiveness. Export or extract the data to Excel and use that data as your comparison. To automate Excel data extraction, start simple by using Power Query (free Excel feature) as described in the following article.
