    Hi Junpei,

Most browsers do not allow UNC paths via a browser for security reasons but I do know that IE does allow it and below is a link to a PI Help Center article on this topic and Firefox has an add-on that will allow it as well, but when last tested Chrome did not allow it.  The results may vary due to updates from Microsoft, Firefox and Google where it may work or they may change the security options on this.

    Thank you

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for quick feedback. Would mind confirming if there is a way to remove "http:\\" prefix by default as the first part of the question?

    Hi Junpei,

If you are selecting to add a shortcut, you are not forced to use http://.

Thank you Alex, is shortcut and link the same? Or there are some options not available in one or the other.

    Hi Junpei,

Shortcuts and Links are very different, yes you can use a link as a simply shortcut but I would not recommend it because a link is meant to be used as an integration whereas a Shortcut is meant for simply creating a hyperlink to a URL.
