Use sprint as a datapoint in task list & reports

I am putting the sprint functionality to use in the application but am hampered by it's limitations.  It would help a lot of I could add "sprint" as a column in the task list so that I could filter that list to just see what is in a sprint.  There's a lot I can do in the task list that I cannot do in the sprint view. 

And/Or - if I could use "sprint" as a datapoint in a task report for filtering/sorting - that might accomplish the same purpose.
