Add filters to Planning board

I want be to able to filter the planning board by Status (ex: Backlog, To do, whatever my custom statuses are). And, I want to be able to Group by Parent Task.  Sorting in the Behind column should also have some options... like alpha by Parent Task, or Task ID. Right now it's not clear if there is secondary sort other than start date.

This would help me tremendously in doing Sprint planning, or even high level Waterfall project planning.
