Overview
The Outlook integration allows you to create tasks, create issues, or save emails directly into Project Insight without leaving Outlook.

Prerequisites
Microsoft Outlook (desktop or web).
Project Insight workspace prefix.
Instructions

Installation
In Outlook, go to Get Add-ins.
Search for Project Insight and click Install.

Open an email and click the Project Insight menu.

Log in:
Enter your workspace prefix (e.g.,
PMI-CCVC).Sign in via PI or Microsoft SSO.
Admins must consent once for the org.

Choose an action:
Create Task: Select project, set due date, assign user.
Create Issue: Log the email content as an issue.

Save Email: Archive the email (with attachments) to a project without making a task/issue.

Verify that the item appears in the correct project inside Project Insight.
Notes
Only the specific email is saved, not the full thread.
Attachments included in the email are also saved into PI.
Once consented, other users can install without needing permission.
Troubleshooting
If the add-in does not appear, check Manage Add-ins in Outlook to confirm installation.
If login fails, confirm the workspace prefix is correct.
If attachments don’t appear, verify the file type is supported by PI.
