Project Insight App in Microsoft Teams

Get Project Insight notifications and see PI data without leaving Microsoft Teams.

Okay, I just want to give a quick overview of what the Parted Insight app for Microsoft Teams is going to do. Right now, it's still in beta, so we're actively working on it, and new features and enhancements will be added as we go. For right now, after you install it, the first thing you will see is the bot. This bot is a notifications-only bot, so you will receive notifications as events take place over in Project Insight. All of this is configurable within the Project Insight application. You will see these notifications, and you can click "View" to see the item that the notification is referring to.

The first tab here is your Work Items. This is the same information you will see in your Work Items home screen within the application. Similarly, the Projects tab displays your Projects home screen, which includes the same list you will find in Project Insight. The Time section works the same way; it displays the same information you will see in the Time home screen. Here, any unsubmitted time will show, as well as the most recent timesheets that have been submitted. Likewise, the Expenses section includes unsubmitted time and your most recent expense sheets that have been submitted, along with who approved them if they have been approved.

That's the basic overview. Again, it will be enhanced as we go.
