In this video, I'm going to show you a quick overview of Project Insight's Microsoft Teams integration. This integration will help your team access Project Insight details right from their Teams application without needing to open a new software tool.
After you install the application, the first thing you will see is the Project Insight bot in the Teams integration. This bot is meant to be a notification-only bot; it does not hold a dialogue with you but lets you see notifications about the events that take place in Project Insight. When something happens in your PI workspace that may need your attention, the Project Insight Teams bot will notify you of these events.
You can configure the notification settings for this bot in the Project Insight web app. When you see a notification from the Project Insight bot in Teams, you can click "View NPI" to go right to your workspace to view the item in the notification.
The Work tab in Teams has all of your personal work list items. This is the same list you will see in the PI web app when viewing your work list. The Projects tab shows all of your projects. It is also the same list that you will see in the web app on your project home screen.
The Time tab works the same way; what you see here is what's happening in the web app on your time home screen. Here, you can view your unsubmitted time and most recent timesheets that have been submitted.
On the Expenses tab, you can see your unsubmitted expenses, just like in the web app. Below, your most recently submitted expense sheets are displayed. On the right side, you can see who has approved them, if they have been approved.
