Project Insight uses role-based visibility rules to control who can see actual hours, billable hours, and financial information such as cost, price, billable totals, and invoiced amounts.
In this article, the word money refers to financial values calculated from hours, rates, actual totals, billable totals, and non-labor costs. Project Insight workspaces may use different currencies, so the term money is used broadly instead of referring only to dollars.
If a user fits into more than one role or category, they receive the greatest level of visibility available to them.

Can I Restrict Visibility Further?
Yes. You can restrict financial visibility for Project Managers further if your organization does not want Project Managers to see certain actual, billable, or invoiced values.
- Install the Project Budgets add-on if it is not already installed.
- Click the Configure button for the Project Budgets add-on.
- Scroll to the Actual & Billable Hours and Money Visibility Rules section.
The last four options in this section can restrict Project Managers from seeing some combination of:
- Actual cost
- Billable hours
- Billable totals
- Invoiced amounts
Select the restrictions that fit your company’s financial visibility policy, then click Save.
