Explains the detail explaining the differences between Resource Placeholders and Resources. Not to be published. Sharing privately.
Transcript:
Hello, this is Matthew from Project Insight. I wanted to go over resources and resource placeholders specifically.
There is a differentiation here, and excuse me, I think I may have misspoken last time regarding what is shown here on an allocation report. This would apply either forward or backward, right? You can type in a negative value here to start negative 10 weeks ago and show that.
In any case, resource placeholders are not going to show the same level of detail currently that a user will. In the use case that you're discussing, what we would do is create an inactive user for the team so that way we could adjust their allocation. We could make it, you know, available for 200 hours per week or whatever that would be. You can then integrate it in that same way.
If there is a mandate based on requirements to have those resource placeholders perform the same functionality, please let me know. I would like to set up a meeting with you immediately with our development team so that we can ensure we fully understand exactly what you want, so that can be addressed during the onboarding process.
Please let me know what questions you have. Thank you for your patience; I hope that makes sense. I’m sure it will. If there are any questions, feel free to reach out. Thanks!
